CRIME STOPPERS: Holiday vandalism

GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Grants Pass police are looking for someone who knocked over some nutcrackers.

Several nutcrackers are on display near 5th and “G” and “H” streets in Grants Pass.

Late in the night of December 3rd, witnesses described a disturbance near the displays.

Police found two of the nutcrackers knocked over and broken.

One witness said someone at the scene is described as a white male with a black shirt and beard.

The nutcrackers cost $3,000 for two and are owned by Evergreen Federal Bank.

"It's just a shame that the things that are put out for the enjoyment of the citizenry of Grants Pass and Josephine County, and those that are visiting, gets damaged and get taken away essentially because now they're off the street," Lieutenant Todd Moran, with Grants Pass D.P.S. said.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is offering an extra $500 as a reward for someone to help catch those responsible.

The case number is today's date: 12-20-16
