MEDFORD, Ore. -- Medford police want to find the man involved in an armed robbery at Wendy's.

Detectives say a Wendy's employee called in a little after midnight on Sunday to report an armed robbery.

Reports say the employee took a break outside the South Riverside restaurant when someone ran up to him from behind and kicked him.

The suspect then pulled out a knife and demanded the victim's wallet.

Police take this serious, responded with several units and even brought a K-9 unit out to search the area.

"Especially when it's a stranger-type incident like that where out of the blue, this person appears, kicks a person and brandishes a knife, so that's obviously a person we don't want out in the community, out in the public," Joshua Schilder, with the Medford Police Department, said.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5'8" and 5'10" with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a salt and pepper colored hoody with the hood up, dark pants and white shoes.

This case number is the date 05-23-17.

If you have any information on the suspect, you can call or text Crime Stoppers at 1-800-850-0580.

Depending on the information given, Rogue Credit Union will pay you up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and filing of charges. As always, you can remain anonymous.
