CRIME STOPPERS: Spray paint at schools
GRANTS PASS, Ore. - The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety needs your help identifying the person or people who spray painted 'MERRY X-MAS' on school reader boards at Highland Elementary School and North Middle School in Grants Pass.
"You would like to see as a parent the money that the district spends going towards supplies and materials going to educate the children instead of the infrastructure of the school itself, " Lt. Todd Moran said.
The vandalism discovered early Christmas morning has now been cleared up and the schools will not need to spend money on replacing the boards.
However, police want to identify who did this so it doesn't happen again.
Lt. Moran asks the community to stay vigilant online as those responsible may talk about with friends on social media.
The case number is today's date: 12-27-16
If you have any information on those responsible, you can call or text Crime Stoppers at 1-800-850-0580.
Depending on the case and information given, Rogue Credit Union will pay you up to $1000 for information leading to an arrest and filing of charges.
You can remain anonymous.
