CRIME STOPPERS: Locking down on storage shed thieves
SHADY COVE, Ore. -- Thieves are hitting several storage units in Shady Cove.
They started back in September with another one even happening yesterday (Monday.)
The burglaries are mainly at three different businesses with several thefts occurring at those locations.
Someone is cutting through locks and even into the metal buildings and between the units.
Some tools and equipment stolen are worth $5,000 and up.
"Some of these storage units are right along Highway 62, so if there's people in there that appear to be there for no particular reason or just milling around, it would be good to call the sheriff's office so we can go out there and check out what's going on," Sergeant Eric Fox, with the sheriff's office, said.
The sheriff's office has extra patrols in the area because of what's been going on.
They recommend more lighting and cameras for the businesses affected.
The case number is 01-24-17.
