CRIME STOPPERS: Stihl saws stolen

MEDFORD, Ore. -- In this week's Crime Stoppers, the search for stolen Stihl saws.

Medford police detectives got a report yesterday (Monday) of nine stolen Stihl saws from the 1000-block of Niantic Avenue.

The seven large and two small saws were in a box trailer sometime in the last few days.

They belong to Southwest Forestry and cost a total of nearly $11,000.

"If you run across a deal that's too good to be true, it probably is. If you run across somebody who wouldn't normally have nine Stihl chainsaws and all of a sudden they do. Those are the situations that we need to know about," Lieutenant Justin Ivens, said.

Detectives remind everyone to identify their property with specific, unique marks to improve chances of recovery.

This case number is the date 04-25-17.
