CRIMESTOPPERS: Jewelry Store Theft
MEDFORD, Ore. —
Medford Police need your help identifying a man wanted for aggravated theft.
The theft occurred on Halloween at Father & Son Jewelry in Medford. The suspect asked a clerk to see engagement rings, he then took the box of rings in front of him and ran out the store.
Employees of the store chased after the suspect. Once the suspect realized he was being followed he dropped the box of jewelry and continued to run.
Police do not know if the suspect used a get-away vehicle.
The store was able to recover their items, if they had not they would have lost between $15 thousand and $25 thousand.
"We want to make sure the other stores are aware that this took place so that they can protect themselves," said Lt. Justin Ivens.
Medford Police are turning to the public for help identifying this man.
