CRIMESTOPPERS: Thieves steal fishing equipment

Jackson County, Ore- Police are looking for a pair of thieves who stole fishing gear from a parked boat on the river near the 1500 block of Rogue River Highway.

It happened in the afternoon of Sunday June 4th.

The men took fishing equipment from the boat and left the scene on a raft.

Police later found the raft that the thieves were using abandoned at Valley of the Rogue State Park.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is looking for the community's help to find the suspects.

"The next steps is the deputy who took the initial case is going to keep on following any leads that come up, and what we're hoping for is a tip from the photo we released on Facebook and hopefully through the Crimestoppers story." Tim Snaith of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said.
