AllCare Health gives out smoke protection masks

AllCare gives out free masks (KTVL/Sarina Sandoval)

[UPDATE] AllCare has distributed all of their smoke detection masks. They have reordered the masks and say they will be available for pick up on Thursday, September 7th.

AllCare Health is handing out free smoke protection masks because of the heavy smoke caused by wildfires.

Josh Ballock, who works for AllCare says, children or persons with breathing issues should definitely wear these masks or if possible to stay inside.

"We want to make sure that it's available for everyone in our community, so this isn't just our members this is for anybody that needs them, we want to be able to provide that," Ballock said.

The masks are N-95 certified which will filter out the smoke.

AllCare started handing them out in Grants Pass on Monday and will continue on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in both Jackson and Josephine counties.
