GRANTS PASS, Ore. - A homeowner was stunned to find their car had been completely destroyed early this morning.

"I ran out here and the back end of my car was fully engulfed in fire," Randy Crees said.

Police believe someone set fire to the car's gas tank at around 2 a.m. on the morning of February 15.

Crees said at first when he heard his car's alarm going off, he thought someone was trying to steal it. But he then realized it was a fire that was quickly growing from the car's gas tank.

"This car fire is one thing but the house catching on fire, it's right next the house that could've got real ugly,," he said.

The car, that had been in the driveway outside a home on Ironwood Drive, is now completely destroyed.

While no arrests have been made at this point, GPDPS is asking anyone with information to come forward.
