City Council approves Marijuana in heavy commercial zones
Medford, Ore. —
The Medford City Council voted in favor of allowing marijuana production in heavy commercial zones in the city.
The ordinance passed and that means there will be more growing opportunities in Medford.
The owner of one marijuana business says this is a positive.
"We currently have a recreational dispensary. This will be a recreational grow that will allow us to sell the product that we make in house to our own grow as opposed to having to outsource all of it. We're going to be able to supplement a lot of that product," said Dan Gilbert, Lit Cannabis Owner.
Some city council members say this will allow more people to participate in this business now that it's legal in the state.
