City Council meeting discuses the Carnegie Library 

Medford City Council is meeting to talk about Carnegie Library and what to do with it.

Council is discussing the possibility of leasing out the building and how to go about it.

Deputy City Manager Kelly Medding, says this is a historic building here in Medford, and is important to the revitalization of the downtown area.

"It's underutilized, says Medding." "In order to work on revitalizing downtown, the council wants to get a tenant in there that can help with that revitalization, bring people downtown bring eyes on the downtown."

City Council will also be talking about the urban growth boundary amendment, the natural hazards mitigation plan, and selling or leasing out the old fire station #2.
