Cougar sighting in Klamath Falls

Cougar siting in Klamath Falls

Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife tells News 10, a cougar was spotted in Moore Park/ Lynnwood Neighborhood Tuesday.

Wildlife workers say cougars have a large home range, and it's not uncommon that one would come down near homes and kill an animal like a deer and go back.

They are hoping that's the case here.

ODFW is asking everyone to be cautious when using upper Moore Park trail systems until the animal has been caught.

ODFW is in the process of setting up traps.
