Fire crews prevent body shop fire from spreading
ASHLAND, Ore. -- Multiple agencies responded to a fire at Anderson Body Shop in Ashland on Thursday.
Fire crews said they were lucky to knock down flames in less than ten minutes.
The store is next to dry land and homes, posing the risk of a grass fire. The manager said he was relieved employees caught the flames early.
"There's this little rag on fire and he puts it out and then we go a little further and look into the paint booth and there's flames coming up a little bit out of the floor and over in the back corner," Brian LeBlanc said.
The body shop was able to protect all cars on site, and it's evaluating how to carry on business in the days ahead. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
