Ballots are going to be dropped off at the post office Friday, April 27th meaning community members may get theirs in the mail as early as Saturday.

What likely already arrived in the mail is this year's election pamphlets.

In the center of the pamphlet, there is an area with a grey border, that's where Jackson County candidates and measures are listed.

County Clerk, Chris Walker, says it's especially important for everyone to individually read this section.

"What is passionate to me might not be passionate to the next person. So you have to go after your individual interests, your individual beliefs and there's no person out there that can tell you those things," said Walker.

There's still plenty of time this week to read up on the pamphlet before ballots start coming this weekend.

Beyond that, voters will have until primary election day, Tuesday May 15th to cast their vote.

Ballots must be dropped off by 8:00 p.m. and the outer portion of the envelope must be signed to be deemed valid.
