Jackson Elementary held "Junior Achievement in a Day"
MEDFORD -- The Medford School District partnered up with Junior Achievement and launched it's first ever "JA in a Day."
Forty Southern Oregon University students served as JA volunteers at Jackson Elementary. They discussed five sequential lessons with hands-on activities to help students understand business and economic principals. They also discussed what it means to be an engaged citizen in the community.
A spokesperson with the school District said "JA in a Day' will become a yearly event. Junior Achievement did a small pilot program at Lone Pine Elementary School in December.
