Siskiyou County, Ore. —
Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office raided its biggest marijuana operation so far this year.
Sheriff Jon Lopey says the team busted a makeshift greenhouse in the Klamath River Country Estates (KRCE) area on Thursday.
The operation had 543 plants along with 266 pounds of processed marijuana and 33 pounds of packaged marijuana buds.
Sheriff Lopey estimates this operation to be between $7.5 million to $10 million.
The team conducted other busts on Marlin Avenue (99 plants), Clark and Pine (293 plants) in the KRCE area.
Deputies say both sites were abandoned.
The Siskiyou County Interagency Marijuana Investigation Team will continue to serve search warrants weekly in various parts of the county.
The areas of concern include Butte Valley, Klamath River Country Estates, Mount Shasta Vista, and Mount Shasta Forest.
The team is also working with California Highway Patrol to crack down on illegal water truck operations.
