Local Crossfit gym launches program for disabled veterans
MEDFORD, Ore. - A local Crossfit gym is helping out disabled veterans who want to live a healthy lifestyle.
Den Fitness, in Medford, is providing free memberships for post 9/11 veterans. The program is called Operation Vet-Rep and it started at the beginning of January.
Austin Stack is the owner of Den Fitness and says the veteran must have a 30 percent disability or more to qualify for the membership.
Stack says this is only the beginning of change.
"If we can change one person's life, it'll be worth all the blood, sweat and tears we put into this thing," Stack said.
He says right now, there are still about four to five spots available. The membership will last for one year.
