CENTRAL POINT, Ore. -- Rogue Creamery's 13th annual cheese festival had its most successful year yet with 5,000 guests.

With 4,000 last year, the festival expanded to two days this year. About 60 percent of guests attended on Saturday and the rest on Sunday to see 100 vendors, 23 cheese makers, as well as goat and cow petting.

"People were happier this year than last year. We got a lot of feedback last year that it was too crowded and our answer to that was to expand to two days. So I think people were a lot happier we spread the crowd over two days," said Francis Plowman with Rogue Creamery.

The festival also doubled community volunteers to 150 this year, including sponsors like Umpqua Bank and Rogue Credit Union.
