Police arrest wanted suspect Josephine County homicide
JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. —
Oregon State Police have arrested Damian Atwood who was wanted in a California man's homicide that occurred last summer.
Atwood was lodged at the Josephine County Jail after a sheriff's deputy recognized him in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Cave Junction.
A vehicle pursuit, and then a foot chase broke out before he was arrested.
Police are still looking for Elizabeth Hudson -also believed to be involved in the death of John Reitterer.
On June 22nd, the body of 22-year-old John Reitterer was found in a shallow creek of Illinois River Road, near milepost 6. The death was determined to be a homicide.
In November, a Josephine County Grand Jury indicted 22-year-old Elizabeth Devine "Little Red" Hudson, 19-year-old Damian Lee "Bubba J" Atwood,19, and 22-year-old Ryan Michael Eldred. three people on murder charges.
Eldred was arrested and lodged into the Josephine County Jail on November 28th.
