Investigation underway in Medford murder-suicide
MEDFORD, Ore. —
Two bodies were recovered from a home on the 1200 block of Covina Ave. in Medford on Tuesday.
Medford Police responded to a welfare check past 10:00 a.m. after 50-year-old Charmaine Crunk did not arrive to work.
When they arrived officers saw one person unresponsive inside living room. They then entered the home and found a second person down.
The person was identified as 51-year-old Eric Hilsenberg.
MPD says, both appear to have died from gunshot wounds.
Detectives believe Hilsenberg killed Crunk before taking his own life. They had been previously been in a 12-year relationship that ended back in March.
The actual cause of death is pending autopsy results.
