Semi-Truck on side partially blocking I-5, expect delays

Southern Ore.- UPDATE: Salvage crews will offload an overturned semi trailer tonight along I-5 near MP 6, eight miles south of Ashland.

The semi-truck was carrying bags of dog and cat food. It overturned at around 2:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon while traveling down the Siskiyou Summit grade.

Drivers should use caution and expect single lane traffic northbound tonight in the crash area.

Oregon State Police are investigating the crash.

Once the semi is off-loaded of its cargo, it will be righted and towed from the scene.

A semi-truck has reported to be on its side, partially blocking the NB lanes in Interstate-5 MP 6 Northbound.

This is eight miles South of Ashland.

Northbound lanes are partially blocked.

Crews on scene and tows are moving semi and trailer to right shoulder for later off-loading.

Expect congestion and delays as only fast lane is open to traffic.

Crews have moved the crashed semi to shoulder. Shoulder and slow lane closed.

Watch for recovery crews and use caution through the crash zone
