Senate votes funding bill, re-opening government

The Senate approved a two year budget, 71-28 re-opening the federal government, after the spending bill failed to pass. It ultimately shut down the Federal Government for two hours. The bill is now going to the House of Representatives for a vote.

This was the second time in three weeks the government shut down. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul prevented the bill to pass the first time.
