Spikes used to end car chase
Central Point, ORE. —
Jackson County Sheriff's had to use spike strips to end a car chase that first began in downtown Medford on Tuesday Night.
Around 8 p.m. Medford Police observed a suspicious vehicle in downtown Medford and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver in a Nissan Pathfinder then eluded police near Stewart and Riverside. Police were unable to pursue the driver due to traffic in the area.
The driver then went on the I-5 freeway heading northbound, where Central Point Police spotted the vehicle. The driver was able to elude police again.
The driver then was headed towards Tablerock Road in Central Point, where Sheriff's used spikes to stop the vehicle near Touvelle Tavern.
Police arrested two suspects, identifying one of the suspects as Brian Grimm.
Central Point Police Department is investigating the case.
