Suspect arrested on multiple charges after eluding officers twice
MEDFORD, Ore. —
Medford Police arrested 25-year-old James DIllon Card on multiple charges after he eluded officers over the course of two days.
According to Medford Police, a had vehicle eluded officers at a high rate of speed on Wednesday before they were able to perform a traffic stop.
On Thursday, officers responded to the south Medford's Fred Meyer after receiving reports of suspicious activity involving the same vehicle. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect was able to speed away leading them on a high speed pursuit.
Officers quickly ended the pursuit for the safety of both officers and citizens.
The occupants inside the car abandoned the vehicle in the driveway of a home in east Medford and fled on foot. The suspects were later spotted and arrested. The home at which the car was abandoned was not related to Card, according to MPD.
Card was charged with UUMV, Reckless Driving, two counts of Attempt to Elude Police Officer, two counts of Reckless Driving, Hit and Run, DUII, Parole Violation, and 5 Failure to Appear Warrant. He is currently lodged into the Jackson County Jail.
