Talent residents hear about new development projects during fair

The City of Talent is working on becoming a better city with new developments. Tuesday night it held it's first ever Community Development Fair.

25 organizations came out and spoke with residents about the different projects it's working on in the city.

The Oregon Department of Transportation came out to talk about the upcoming Highway 99 project, Rogue Climate Talent spoke with residents about the Clean Energy Action Plan, and Rogue Valley Sewer Services spoke about a project to keep the sewer system in the city in good shape.

Sandra Jilton, who's been living in the area for four years, says she likes the direction the city is going in with all the new projects.

"I see Talent as becoming a community of people that are congregating here to live because of the cost of living in Ashland and the cost of living in Medford and other areas. "We are centrally located and there is a little spot light on us now."
