SALMON COMPLEX FIRE

A reconnaissance flight was used to get a better look of the perimeter and recent spread of the Salmon August Complex fire.

The Wallowa fire within the complex is still one of the most active fires within the complex.

Smoke isn't allowing aircraft to go up and make water drops but helicopters are on standby when visibility improves.

The current evacuation warning for the Sawyers Bar and Salmon River Road will remain in effect. This area includes Nordheimer Flat to Etna Summit.

So far, the fire has burned 63,743 Acres, and is 14% contained.

ECLIPSE COMPLEX FIRE

An informational meeting is scheduled to update residents of the eclipse complex fire, Thursday, at 6 p.m. at the Karuk Gymnasium in Happy camp.

Crews are holding two of the fires within the complex, the Abney fire above the community of Seiad and the Oak fire east of Blue Ridge.

The limited evacuation warning remains in effect for the area directly southwest of the happy camp airport through the clear creek area.

There is also an evacuation warning in place for residents in the Seiad Valley area.

The fire has burned 93,744 Acres, and is 22% contained.

MILLER COMPLEX FIRE

While the smoke inversion over the Miller Complex fire didn't allow the flames to grow, it did keep firefighting aircraft on the ground.

Several areas remain under a level 2 evacuation.

A Red Flag Warning will be in effect until 11 p.m. Thursday for abundant lightning, dry fuels and erratic winds.

The fire has burned 32,718 Acres, and is 31% contained.

ORLEANS COMPLEX

A mandatory evacuation order is in effect for residents East of highway 96 between Rogers Creek Road and Ti Creek.

An advisory evacuation warning remains in effect for residents east of Highway 96 from Burns Creek south to Ti Creek, from Rogers Creek Road south to Somes Bar, and along the Salmon River Road to Wooley Creek.

The Klamath National Forest has issued closures to close trails, roads, and lands on the Ukonom Ranger District as a result of the fires.

This fire is burning 20 miles north of Orleans in Siskiyou County.

The fire has burned 19,802 Acres, and is 53% contained.
