Trump signs bill that settles Mount Hood land dispute
A newly passed bill has fixed a nearly 8-year-old land dispute on Mount Hood.
President Donald Trump signed the bipartisan bill Wednesday.
The law will allow the development of around 100 acres near Government Camp.
It also sets aside more than 700 acres on Mount Hood's north side to be protected as forest land.
The area had been in limbo since 2009, when Congress passed a broad bill that included the Mount Hood Land Exchange.
