Two arrested in stolen vehicle after eluding police, trying to dispose of drugs

MEDFORD, Ore. - Two suspects were arrested after police say they eluded officers in a stolen vehicle.

An officer attempted to stop the stolen vehicle that had been spray painted black, but the vehicle took off, leading to a chase.

While in pursuit, the passenger thew a box out of the window. Seconds later, the car broke down.

After the box was found, it was found to contain meth, cocaine, heroin and morphine pills.

The suspected, identified as Johnny Marino, 42, and Jake Compton, 27, were arrested on several charges.

The vehicle, a Honda Prelude, was stolen from the 2200 block of Table Rock Road on Saturday.
