Two people arrested on drug charges in Grants Pass

(Josephine County Jail)

The Rogue Area Drug Enforcement Team seized $12,000 worth of heroin following a traffic stop on March 27th.

Police say 35-year-old Christian Villasenora- Gonzales and passenger 32-year-old Julieta Larios were driving from Salem to Grants Pass when they were stopped on 7th street near Hillcrest in Grants Pass.

A drug detection K-9 from the Oregon State Police indicated the presence of illegal drugs inside the vehicle leading to a search. During the search, a vacuum sealed bag was found containing one pound of heroin worth $12,000. Other items included cash and evidence of manufacturing and delivery of drugs.

Larios was charged with manufacturing, delivering, possession of heroin, and an outstanding warrant. Larios and Villasenora-Gonzalez was charged with manufacturing, delivery, and possession of heroin.

Both were lodged in Josephine County Jail.
