UPDATE: OSU couple spotted, appear to 'not be endangered,' police say

UPDATE: On March 18, Oregon State Police were notified by family that a Salt Lake City Greyhound employee made contact with both Wick and Eveler.

They appeared to not be endangered and were on a bus to Boston, police said.

"Both families would like Wick and Eveler to know they are loved and want them to return home," OSP said. "They also want to thank the media for sharing the story and caring for the well-being of Wick and Eveler."

At this time, neither Wick or Eveler are considered endangered, ppolice said.

EARLIER UPDATE:

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State Police continue to investigate the disappearance of Oregon State University Student Kiara N. Wick, 23, and her boyfriend, Jacob A. Eveler, 20.

A complete review of video footage from Tebeau Hall, on the OSU Campus, was finished on Saturday, and it was determined that Wick and Eveler were seen on camera leaving the residence hall at 9:42 a.m. on Friday morning.

It appeared that Wick had dyed her hair black, and Eveler had shaved his face (and possibly cut his hair). Both Wick and Eveler were seen with backpacks, and Wick is carrying a large shopping bag and possibly a yellow folded tend.

ORIGINAL UPDATE:

Law enforcement is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing student from Oregon State University, and her boyfriend, who may be suicidal.

Oregon State Police were notified of a female OSU student and her boyfriend who had been reported missing/endangered by their families. Family members reported that the two individuals may be suicidal and the Oregon State Police is seeking public assistance with regard to any information on the couple's whereabouts or well being.

Kiara N. Wick, 23, and Jacob A Eveler, 20, were last seen around 2 a.m. on March 16 on OSU's Corvallis campus in Tebeau Hall, which is Wick's residence.

Around 3:00 p.m., a vehicle that Eveler was believed to drive, was found at Eveler's parents residence in Philomath.

Wick is described as 5'8", 160 pounds with shoulder length brown hair, and gray/blue eyes.

Eveler is 6'0", 170 pounds with shoulder length, curly brown hair and blue eyes. Eveler was last seen wearing a "Rockstar" sweatshirt, grey Carhartt beanie and unknown color of pants.

The couple has been known to drive a second vehicle, described as a dark-colored 4-door sedan in poor condition. Their direction of travel is unknown, but Wick has been known to like the beach, and Eveler the Burnt Woods area.
