Yarbrough family grieving after police find Kayla's body
MEDFORD, Ore.-- A Cave Junction family is grieving. This comes after police found 20-year-old Kayla Yarbrough's body.
Oregon State Police found her body in the 100 block of Lone Mountain Road in O'Brien on Thursday.
Her family said the last time they heard from Yarbrough was back on Thanksgiving. She was reported missing in February.
News10 spoke with Yarbrough's uncle, Raymond. He said this outcome, police finding her dead, was at the back of his mind.
"Kinda always knew it was a possibility, but you never really let yourself go there," Raymond Yarbrough said. "It's just pretty surreal when you heard about it, then it's just a swirl of 'what do we have to do next? How do we kind of circle the wagons and support the family and be together?'"
The cause of death is still under investigation. If you have any information, call OSP Dispatch at 541.664.4600.
