The confrontation started about 2:30 on Thursday on Kings Court after police got a call about someone firing shots.
When Siskiyou County Sheriff's deputies got to the scene they found 59 year old William Fletcher outside holding a gun.
Authorities say Fletcher made threats against the deputies, then went inside and barricaded the door.
More help arrived to the stand-off as Siskiyou County Sheriff Detectives, Yreka Police Department, Cal-Fire, USFS Law Enforcement Officers got to the scene.
A California Highway Patrol officer also came to help and was able to get in contact with Fletcher, eventually talking the man out of the home without incident.
The home was searched after a warrant arrived. Officers found multiple weapons, ammunition and marijuana.
Fletcher was booked into the Siskiyou County jail on several charges including discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He is being held on a $15,000 bail.
