Gold heist investigators get new leads
By Krystle Henderson/KTVL.com

YREKA, Calif. - The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is getting new tips on the courthouse gold heist. Investigators are working on those leads this week.

More than one million dollars of gold was stolen in February.

Recently, the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors upped the reward from $15,000 to $50,000.

"Already we're receiving some promising leads," Sheriff Jon Lopey said. "Our goal is to solve this gold case as soon as possible, we have a lot of good information already and we have some evidence that will help us solve the case."

The evidence detectives have includes surveillance video and DNA found at the crime scene.
