The first stabbing happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the 7-Eleven on Southwest Sixth Street, according to a press release from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
Police say the victim and the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Michael Sprouse, had a fight in the alleyway behind the store.
During the altercation, police say Sprouse allegedly got a knife and stabbed the victim, who suffered a wound to the right side of his torso along the belt line. The man was taken to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center for treatment.
Sprouse was arrested on a probation violation.
The second stabbing happened around 12:12 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of Northwest B Street, according a press release from the public safety department.
In this case, police say the suspect and the victim were involved in a fight when the stabbing occurred.
When police arrived, they found the victim lying in the parking lot and bleeding from the chest. He had suffered at least two stab wounds to the chest. He was taken to Three Rivers.
The investigation identified Arturo Sanchez, 19, of Grants Pass as the suspect. Police say the suspect had fled from the scene on foot and was found at his mother's home.
They arrested him on the suspicion of assault.
