The accident happened around 5:56 a.m. The woman was driving east on Northeast F Street when a car northbound on Seventh Street failed to stop for a red light, according to a press release from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
Police say the northbound car, a 2004 Taurus, struck the right side of the woman's 2002 Highlander. The collision caused the Highlander to spin around and strike the curb. It then flipped over and landed on the sidewalk of the northeast corner of Seventh and F street.
The woman was able to get out of the car. An ambulance took her to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
That wasn't the end of the collision. The Taurus then struck the front of an eastbound Camry that had been following the Highlander.
The driver of the Camry was able to pull his car to the side of the road and was eventually able drive away from the accident scene. Both the Highland and Taurus had to be towed.
Police say they cited the driver of the Taurus, a 44-year-old man, for failing to obey a traffic control device.
