Stuff the truck

During the holidays, we all look forward to big platters of ham, turkey, gravy and fancy side dishes. But for thousands, such meals are a fantasy Food insecurity and hunger during the holidays is a cold fact of life.

Hunger can affect people from all walks of life. Th impact of hunger ultimately effects the ability to fight and recover for illness, impairs the ability to concentrate. Emotionally it increases levels of anxiety, depression and even the ability to get along with others. This is a year-round problem...the holiday just makes us more aware.

That's why each year we are committed to our Stuff the Truck campaign to help our neighbors and feed the hungry in our communities. Last year we collected 7,480 bags of food totaling almost $150,000. This week we launch our 2019 campaign with a goal of collecting 8,000 bags of food - enough to stuff a 52-foot semi-truck to send to local food banks for Christmas throughout Oregon and Northern California .
