Haymazing Straw Maze, a hyper-seasonal business, is celebrating its 5th year in Central Point.

It's a straw maze that only opens up one month every year.

Though the business has only been open for 5 years, for many families and teens in the area, it's quickly becoming a fixture.

"It's different every year and I like how it's not the same every year," said Juan Vargas, who has visited the straw maze every year for the past 4 years.

It started when a couple moved from the Bay Area to Central Point, they decided that they wanted to start a straw maze after seeing friends in the Bay Area doing the same thing.

The couple along with a few friends and family build the mazes themselves, and renting parking lots each year. They say they every year it gets quicker, this last time taking 10 days.

Since its opening, its taken off, people of all age ranges go down to the straw maze.

"We have people pushing strollers here, we have people coming in wheelchairs, and then we have grand parents, and parents coming pretty much with the whole family, and pretty much everyone gets lost," said Charlene Driver, daughter of the founder of Haymazing Straw Maze.

The maze is open from Monday through Thursday 3 to 8 PM.

On Friday it's open 3 to 10 PM, and Saturday it's open 10 AM to 10 PM.

It costs $8 per person for an all day pass to use the maze. Children under 3 get in free.
