A cattle prod used during a robbery

Jackson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery at Thunderbird Estates, a mobile home park in White City.

Upon arrival deputies were informed that the suspect used a cattle prod as a weapon in order to steal money from an acquaintance.

There were no injuries reported at the time of the incident.

The suspect in question is named Ricardo Batres-Escobar, a twenty-five year old Hispanic male, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Escobar reportedly stands at five feet, nine inches and weighs approximately one hundred and forty five pounds.

Deputies urge caution if approaching the suspect, as he has an extensive history of violent offenses.
