ATM stolen from Seven Feathers Event Center over Memorial Day weekend

An ATM was stolen from the lobby of the Seven Feathers Event Center at the Jackson County Expo Center.

Officials believe the burglary happened sometime between Monday and Tuesday morning.

Employees at the expo reported the burglary Tuesday around 7:30 A.M.

Jackson County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Julie Denney said, "It's possible that the holiday weekend contributed to the crime. Sometimes businesses or other organizations are closed for an extra day and that means that people aren't necessarily paying attention to their premises."

It is also suspected more than one thief was there to carry the ATM away from the expo center.
