Crime Stoppers: Klamath County property burglaries
FORT KLAMATH, Ore. —
Residents of Klamath County are being asked stay alert after recent burglaries. Deputies are trying to solve two burglary cases from earlier this month in Fort Klamath.
The first incident happened on Westside Rd. on Nov. 5, where the suspects cut cables and punched locks to gain entry. The second incident happened the day after on Nov. 6 in the same area, which means they may be related.
"Because they're so close together just the geographical area," deputy Jimmy Leach said."The properties that are being broken into and burglarized are properties that are left unattended. They're summer houses or anything like that."
In the first case, various items, such as a wood splitter, two chain saws and a pottery kiln were taken from the house. Due to the value of the stolen property, the first incident is being investigated as a burglary in the second degree.
If you have any information on any possible suspects, please call or text Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 1-800-850-0580 and refer to case number KTVL 11-20-18.
