Crimestoppers: Couple wanted for theft

Police are looking for a couple wanted for theft.

Medford Police say this couple targets female shoppers and steals their wallet out of their purses.

They then, quickly go on a shopping spree before the cards can be reported as stolen.

Lt . Kerry Curtis says, in two different cases, they targeted a woman at home goods and on a different day, another woman at Trader Joes.

"Make sure that you're very aware of your belongings, whether it is your purse or wallet or your credit cards," Lt. Curtis said.

Police say the couple are turning this money into gift cards.

They have taken over $16,000 worth of charges in a matter of minutes.
