Masked man sought in robbery at Phil's Frosty in Shady Cove
A wanted man is accused of coming into a business late at night pushing an employee and taking cash.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a robbery at a Shady Cove business. A male suspect was captured on surveillance video stealing money from Phil’s Frosty on Saturday night.
"It was after it closed but employees were still there," Sgt. Julie Denney said.
On April 6, 2019, at 9:27 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a robbery inside the restaurant, located at 22161 Highway 62.
"We got a call from employees. They recorded that a man had come into the business at about closing time and had stolen cash and pushed one of the employees as he was making his exit," Denney said.
The suspect was last seen running north toward Williams Lane.
"We've had some property crimes in the past, some theft, some burglaries but this is different in that there are people on-scene and there was also a confrontation. And that's what really elevates this crime," Denney said.
The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 20’s, approximately 5’ 11” tall with a thin build, blue eyes, and brown hair. He was wearing a partial mask.
"He was wearing a mask that was black with white printing of a skull on the facial area. In the surveillance image we could see he was wearing a ring on the middle finger of his left hand which might stand out to somebody if they know this person and recognize them," Denney said.
