Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies were called out to the 500 block of Industrial Circle the morning of February 19, 2019.
The owners of South Valley Construction reported a skid-steer excavator went missing sometime during the presidential day weekend. The equipment is described as a white 1999 Bobcat Skid-Steer excavator, model 763.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are looking for tips to help locate a piece of heavy equipment stolen from the local business.
News 10 spoke with Sergeant Julie Denney of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for more information. "I would not say this type of crime is frequent we do see heavy equipment stolen from time to time and when it is stolen it is usually in an accessible area such as a construction area," Denney said.
The presumed theft took place in a construction site with little security therefore no signs of entry were found.
"If you know somebody who suddenly came into possession of a Bobcat excavator and it matches this description you may be curious whether this is the same one," Denney said.
"It's a pretty specific description so hopefully somebody's seen it or knows somebody who has it and is able to call us," Denney said.
