Suspects wanted after eluding police
The Medford Police Department is asking the public for help to locate two individuals involved in an elude from police. The incident happened yesterday at the Winco Plaza in south Medford.
Officers said the suspects are 37-year-old Jesse Janto and 23-year-old Daisy Roebuck, both from California. Police describe Janto as an white male adult, six-feet tall, 220 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Police describe Roebuck as a white female adult, 5 feet and 3 inches tall, 125 pounds, with brown and brown eyes.
Police said their criminal behavior could extend past running from police officers.
"In the process, they threw out a drag bag that had a number of loaded firearms in it, including a short-barreled rifle," Lt. DJ Graham said. "We ask people to be watching for these people, if they see him to give us a call. We need to talk to them. We need toinvestigate this case further."
Graham said the two were pulled over for a traffic stop, and last seen at the intersection of Barnett and Murphy. He said there are a number of reasons someone would run from officers.
"It could be because you've been drinking don't want to get stopped," Graham said. "It can be because you have something in your vehicle that you're not supposed to have. It really depends on that individual in those circumstances and what's going through their mind at that time."
Officers said they believe the pair came from California to Medford for a drug exchange.
