Stacey Abrams urges Hollywood to #StayAndFight in Georgia

MACON, Ga. -- Stacey Abrams announced via Twitter late Tuesday night that she and her team have had "productive conversations" with Hollywood leaders about boycotts over Georgia's recently signed "heartbeat" abortion bill.

Abrams visited with executives, actors, and others this week to urge Hollywood players to continue working in Georgia.

Multiple companies including AMC and Disney have threatened to leave Georgia if the abortion bill goes into effect. Spike Lee and John Legend have suggested boycotting the state.

The former gubernatorial candidate and potential presidential candidate wrote Georgians will be "at risk" if the state loses the jobs and economic boost it gets from the film industry.
