Special Report: Finding Foster Families

(KTVL/Megan Allison)

MEDFORD, Ore. - Foster families are in short supply in our region. The Department of Human Services is seeing a growing need for good homes, but fewer people are signing up to foster.

It's a local, and regional, crisis.

News10 wants to do our part to help find nurturing families who are generously willing to help take care of our children.

We are teaming up with DHS, Every Child and the Jackson County Foster Parent Association.

Join us for a News10 live event, Finding Foster Families this Thursday, February 23.

Prospective foster parents and those wanting more information are invited to the RCC-SOU Education Center, 101 S. Bartlett Street in Medford at 6pm. We will broadcast live from the event, which you can watch here or on our Facebook page.

Learn all about the foster care system and how you can help. You can also watch our half-hour News10 Special Report from home on News10 at 6 p.m.
