Mother talks about 21-year-old University of Oregon student who died at Shasta Lake

University of Oregon student, Dylan Pietrs, 21, was described by his mother Sunday as a happy guy who was an entrepreneur and loved to play sports.

Kelly Pietrs said that her son loved to travel and loved the outdoors. He had a passion for helping people.

"He loved the outdoors and passed away while camping and he was just the best guy in the world and best brother and friend in the world and a fantastic son," said Kelly.

Dylan was found in his tent Saturday morning while camping at Shasta Lake. Officials say people who were with him said he had been drinking Friday before going into his tent early Friday evening.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office said CPR was performed to try and revive Dylan but they were unable to.

Officials say there are no signs of foul play and an autopsy will be performed to determine his cause of death.
