The Rogue Valley Mall is now home to a unique store, said to be a one-of-a-kind in southern Oregon.

IPrint 3D Studio opened its doors on Friday. The shop specializes in selling 3D printers, parts, and 3-D printed objects. Customers can even bring in their own blueprints to be printed.

Owners Ron and Carolyn Triplett said they became involved with 3D printing after their son started learning about the technology in school.

That inspired them to put an emphasis on education within the studio.

"We decided to get involved with the children because this kind of technology is going to be great in the future when it comes to architecture, 3D gaming, software engineers, all sorts of different things," said Ron Triplett. "This is going to be able to give the kids a heads up to start their careers in the future."

Starting in late August, the studio will host educational classes for children looking to learn more about 3D printing. A schedule of the classes can be found in the IPrint website.

IPrint 3D studio is also one of two Radio Shack carriers in the state, complete with all the parts you would need for your own printer.
