A crash in on N. Ross Lane sends an elderly woman to the hospital

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle crash on North Ross Lane and Stearns Way at around 1:00p.m. Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office says even though it was raining heavily, they don't believe it had anything to do with the weather.

The sheriffs office says an elderly woman was making a right turn from Stearns Way onto North Ross Lane and a black truck already traveling on the road did not have enough time to come to a stop for her.

The collision also forced the black pick-up truck onto a nearby power pole.

Pacific Power was called on scene but no damage to the power pole was reported.

The elderly woman was unresponsive immediately following the crash but road crews were able to wake her and she was transported to a local hospital.

Her condition is not yet known.
