As Taylor Creek Fire begins to wrap up, crews assist Klondike Fire, rehab even more

As of Tuesday morning, the Taylor Creek Fire reached 95% containment due to fire crews' diligent work.

Now, crews have the job of rehabilitating the fire area and repairing trails and ecosystems affected by crews and the fire itself.

Fortunately, that also means more crews can aid firefighters on the Klondike Fire since the two fires merged a couple of weeks ago.

"As we shift into containment on those lines, we move resources out and leave behind some forces to start the job of suppression repair."

Those suppression repair efforts are already underway in the Taylor Creek Fire area including drainage repair and, again, any trails that may have been affected.
